This is my first diary so please be gentle. In past years I've checked the Webblog Awards mostly to check out sites I had not heard of and may not of otherwise found. I would be pleasantly surprised if a site I visited and liked was listed and got votes. Of course, I would vote just like a did this year.
In past years I seem to recall blog owners being flattered and humble about being nominated and link to the Webblog Awards but that was it. I may be the most competitive person I know, maybe not, but I find the banner on Raw Story, the place I start my every waking day to be desparate. The diary here, comments on the General’s site are not worthy of these sites or maybe it is a goof.
Who cares if the conservatives want to click a button a few hundred, or thousand times? Does it mean they are better, more intelligent, or even more popular? That would be hysterically funny. Maybe they win by landslides because we are busy doing life stuff.
It would be representative of what they do during elections. Imagine one vote per person, which blogs would win?
