A brief diary here, but I will try to ask a serious, thoughtful question, and I hope for serious, thoughtful answers.
On Saturday, Hillary Clinton will address her supporters and the cameras to announce her suspension of her campaign and endorsement of the nominee, Barack Obama. She has, by my definition, honored her supporters by staying until everyone had spoken, played by the rules allowed under the DNC, and is accepting the will of the voters in the primary season without an ugly and divisive convention battle.
I have seen many diaries and comments regarding her actions in recent days and speculation about her plans going forward. My question is this: what will it take? What must she say and do to get her most fervent opponents (I won't say haters because I'm not trying to start fights) to let up on her and allow her to be the surrogate she can be for Obama?
Or is there nothing she can do that will satisfy you?
