Watch this video clip 30 seconds in. McCain is discussing the economic bailout plan. He says "If I were dictator, which I always aspire to be"
When I first heard him say that he wants to be dictator I thought of George W Bush who said almost the same thing.
From Buzzflash
"I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don't agree with each other, but that's OK. If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator," Bush joked.

Wow, Freudian slip?????????
I also watched some of his earlier interview with the Des Moines Register in 2007. McCain has changed a lot. In 2007 he came across as a serious intelligent person. Now my impression is that he is tired and defensive. I think he knows he has made some bad decisions and is trying feebly to defend them.
It's interesting to see McCain in a non campaign setting too. For me at least, he comes across as petulant and condescending.
I'm glad that the Des Moines Register put these videos on their website. It is a peak behind the curtains at the real John McCain and I do not like what I see.
