Whenever I hear the business news these days, the writer or announcer often counsels that the economy is just fine. Afterall, the proof lies in the statistics and as we all know, the stock market is fine, unemployment is very low and inflation is almost non-existent. But who's world is this? How are these statistical determinations made? Why does it seem like things aren't all that rosey?
I realize I am coming from my own subjective experience here (hey this is a diary afterall). And perhaps most people in America are far outperforming me with their financial well being. But my sense is, most people are really struggling. It feels like we are in a fairly deep recession rather than phat times.
