A recommended diary by EZ writer discusses the WaPo bombshell that George Bush knew claims about trailers being mobile biological labs were false when he publicly declared on May 29, 2003 that "We have found the weapons of mass destruction."
Spokesbot, Scotty McClellan today basically admitted that the President specifically ignored the unanimous findings of the Pentagon released two days earlier (May 27) and chose instead to follow the May 28 DIA/CIA report that contended the trailers were part of a biological weapons program (from the AP):
McClellan said information for public reports from the CIA comes from many sources and takes time to vet.
"It's not something that, they will tell you, turns on a dime," McClellan said.
If that's true, then what in the hell was the president doing publicly declaring "We have found the weapons of mass destruction" THE VERY NEXT DAY?
More below the fold.
