Islamic terrorists attacked the United States embassy in Damascus, Syria earlier today. Embassies are, by international law, considered to be the sovereign territory of the guest country, even though the land is an enclave surrounded by the host country.
So much for the Coward in Chief's claims that we haven't been attacked since 9/11/2001.
Within a few weeks, more Americans will have died at the hands of terrorists in Iraq than died within the borders of the U.S. on 9/11/2001. Only an imbecile or a moral degenerate (both represented in the personage of the man living in our White House) would think that the matter of borders makes a difference. You are no less dead if you're a Boise schoolteacher in the Reserves who takes a bullet in the cranium in Fallujah than you are if your jet is flown into the Pentagon.
We are not safer. We are not more secure.
