It seems fitting that on this month of the 5th anniversary of the unjust and unwarranted war in Iraq which has been borne upon the shoulders of 4000 dead Americans and untold numbers of Iraqies that we remember more of its beginning.
I'm currently reading Obama's "Audacity of Hope" and just 15 minutes ago read of his first meeting with Senator Bryd which inspired me to look up more about their relationship. In the book Obama forgives Byrd for his involvement in the KKK in his younger days just as he forgives Wright for his recent outspokenness.
But I never paid much attention to who voted for or against the Iraq war resolution other than knowing Edwards did and regretted it, Clinton did and is wishy washy on disowning it, Obama couldn't vote on it but did speak out about it.
But another senator was eloquent is his Nay vote and his beration of the halls of the "silent senate" on the eve of war. He has recently recovered from a fall and is back at work.
