Recently, the Nebraska Democratic Party's website blog ( www.nebraskademocrats.org ) changed their policy regulating those messages that can be posted. Originally, it was completely free, anyone could say whatever was on their minds and there was no moderation whatsoever. Unfettered democracy.
Abuses arose wherein some of the messages became quite nasty, and personal. The thing that allowed such a thing to occur was that posters had no requirement to use their real names nor their real email addresses. Anonimity reigned supreme. There were those who, on occasion, implored others to identify themselves since they felt words not backed by a true identity were worthless.
Now that messages are being moderated, and a genuine email address is required, the level of conversation has plummeted. I'm curious as to why that might be, therefore I'm asking you to reply to my poll. Thanks.
