There's no negotiating with these turds.
Bush got his tax cuts rammed through by reconciliation, a process they condemn to high heaven when the other side, when in power, so much as even hints about using it, for anything.
The tax cut legislation itself called for them to be temporary. They got them extended once while in the minority, using direct threats toward American economic stabilty via the ransom of causing the country to default if demands were not met.
So they rammed them through as temporary. Then whenever they come to expiration time, they use any strategy, any at all, to try and keep them going. I mean, even 2 percent of the supposedly temporary cuts has to be extended ad-infinitum, i.e. permanently.
And when our side achieves a legislative goal, they and their constituents burp and fart about repeal, non-stop. Even after the court upholds it along with THEIR chief justice casting the deciding vote, and then the elections where the voters rewarded the party who passed it.
Pray tell, how do you negotiate with that? You don't negotiate with the absolutely and religiously narcissistic and self-centered.
I think it's just that simple. Many republican representatives themselves fall into the upper 2 percent. And the ones who oppose the slight tax rate increases on that two percent (all of them) are simply looking out for number one. Their own personal wallets is the issue to them. That's the whole ball of wax. And despite the fact that almost the entirety of their pathetic base does not fall into the 2 percent. The prospective cuts for those boobs, as of now, are contingent on the gluttons getting another plate from the buffet, using threats to try and secure the extra plate.
Rich Senators and Representatives, along with the plump Limbaughs and Hannitys and Norquists of the world, preaching tax cuts to the base that for the most part has little or no net worth, but enjoy at least being a member of the wealth party, minus the wealth part. Not only that but their sorry plight being caused, in large measure, by the policies of their heros when in power, who are balking at the measly additional rate percentage points. AFTER $250,000.
The entire ordeal is the most ridiculous spectacle ever witnessed in human politics.
It's literally the neanderthal caricature that their political opposition ridicules them with--- that they take such offense at.
"UGH UGH ME ME".
Negotiate with that.
