Cross-posted at Alevei. I am a public-sector employee, a professor at a state university, a member of a labor union. The work I do has been described by a presidential candidate as indoctrination. I subscribe to the New York Times, I’m a member of the ACLU, I support my NPR member station, and I drive a foreign car. I supported President Obama’s campaign in 2008 after voting proudly for Hillary Clinton in the primary, and I am supporting him again this year.
In other words, some people think I represent a lot of what is wrong with this country. But here is something they don’t know about me: I am a job creator.
