Protesters Determined Not To Let Governor Walker and Republicans Destroy Unions
Tens of thousands of Wisconsinites gathered at the Capitol for a fourth day to protest Governor Scott Walker and the Republican legislators’ efforts to enact legislation that would do away with the unions’ ability to collectively bargain.
In a protest that harkens back to the Vietnam era, teachers, students, firefighters, and union supporters surrounded the Wisconsin capitol outside and occupied the Capitol building inside. Thousands of people sang God Bless America and other labor protest songs. Click here for the complete story.
