The scandals just keep coming, troopergate, the jet and ebay, for or against the bridge to nowhere, and on and on. It might seem like all we have to do is get people to read the news and we're home free.
Not so. We assume that people will draw the same conclusion from the news as we do. It is, after all, obvious. What is not obvious is the filters that every human puts on the news or, in fact, any new event. We all come into a news cycle with a set of beliefs about how things are. If we believe that republicans are corrupt, then McCain/Palin's lies play into that belief. But if one believes that all politicians are corrupt, or that the MSM has a liberal bias, then the conclusion one draws from this news is quite different. What to do? Join me below.
