Today is my 28th birthday and it is a truely special one:
Howard Dean has had one of the greatest comebacks in the history of politics. He was elected chairman and my dream continues. I remember watchin the DNC Winter meeting two years ago on C-span.org and how his speach rocked me out of my political depression. I felt motivated. Even though I am German, I felt involved. Call it strange, but I still believe, DeanforAmerica was a global phenomenon and offered the kind of global moral leadership the world badly needs.
Now, two years older, less depressed yet a little bit wiser, I am nothing but happy. I first joined DFA and then came to dailykos where I feel home.
Fittingly, my friends just got me Joe Trippis "The revolution will not be televised" as a present.
Now, I am drunk and I will go out dancing. Celebrating my birthday and the start of the next phase in the political resurrection of the Democratic Party.
All the best two you! Good night.
