Senate Foreign Relations Committee convened a hearing on the crisis in Pakistan titled, 'Pakistan's Future: Building Democracy or Fueling Extremism,' today.
Stephen P Cohen, director of the South Asia Program at The Brookings Institution, said
...the United States was wrong to tolerate (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf's contempt for democracy.

It is important that Bush administration pushes for democratic reforms in Pakistan. A democratic Pakistan is a safe Pakistan for its people and rest of the world.
