Criticism of Israel should be no different than criticism of Republicans or Democrats. There's a boundary of responsibility, despite all the emotions.
I don't expect people to come here to bash Palestinians either, and I have to say I AM VERY IMPRESSED ith the calibre of people here. I am amazed that someone can discuss centrist aspects of the Palestine-Israel conflict and actually get some positive feedback and some constructive criticism, rather than the hate that dominates most similar discussions.
I used to write for YnetNews.com, the web page of Yedioth Ahronoth (as well as writing for Arab newspapers, too, by the way) and the TalkBacks were filled with so much hate it sounded like a monologue on the Sean Hannity Show or Glenn Beck. (Just having fun with the mindless ones. They "dis" it out :) ... so they can take it).
Now, the responses have not been overwhelming, but that's okay. Because when the focus is on the Middle East, you can come here if you want to have a reasoned discussion, dialogue and even responsible debate.
No hatred here.
