Well, well, well... and here I thought I'd finally get around to announcing my preference for one of these candidates before 2/5 surrounded by the sound of clanging pitchforks as each side, Clinton vs. Obama, squared off after the last big debate. Instead, I saw two leaders on stage, sober, serious, respectful, emphasizing that there may be differences between them, but these differences are not so big compared to the vast gulf separating Democrats from Republicans in 2008. I have a preference, which I'll get to in a moment (if you care), but I want to make one thing clear: barring some extraordinary circumstance, Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton will be on the ballot for the Democrats in November. And all of us, as Democrats and as Americans, should be proud of that. But our mission, here in the Orange, has just started, and that's what I'm going to discuss below.
