I took a little trip to CNN.com to see how I could help in an online poll. The question was going to be something like, "OMG! Was Sarah's speech totally cool, or what?"
At the top of the page I see a banner headline:

The Dow will go up and down. But unemployment sucks forever. Sarah Palin is running at us like an enraged bull (with just about that much finesse and intelligence). We can choose to spend our energies meeting her head-on.
"Kansas" will enjoy the show. They'll get enthralled with trying to decide which candidate is really "elite" (let's see: is it the one that drinks funny coffee, or the one with the private jet?). Problem is...Republicans are good at winning that argument. I don't know why, but 8 years of our BFF beer drinking pal Geo. W. Bush tells us that's a dangerous argument to get into.
Or...
We can laugh and just side-step that bull. Let it crack its' skull on a wall of discontented and unemployed voters.
