As to Military families and especially the kids in the above:
Obama and Biden said they are struck as they meet with military families by their strength and resilience, and the maturity and adaptability of military children.
“They are learning to juggle responsibilities, dealing with their emotions and dealing with the highs and lows of life in very stressful, emotional conditions,” she said. “And they are succeeding. They are successful, smart, bright young people.”
The skills they are learning now will give them a leg up when they face other challenges in life, and an appreciation of the tradition of service that has made America great, Obama said.
Not only the Native American women veterans, and should say many Native American men who serve as well, other Veterans, from minority groups, took pride again and added their voices.
Obama Inauguration: Tuskegee Airmen, Black Veterans See President Winning War They Fought
WASHINGTON -- 01/21/2013 -- It’s still a battle. It’s still a fight. But for the surviving Tuskegee Airmen and other black World War II veterans who journeyed here to witness the second inauguration of President Barack Obama Monday, the struggle is one of love.
They wanted to see the nation’s first African-American commander-in-chief sworn in again, validating the choice America made four years ago, declaring it was no fluke, that someone like them really can rise to lead the country they had to struggle to serve.
"I never expected to live long enough to see a black president," said Stephen Sherman, a 92-year-old who served with the Army’s 308th Combat Engineers in both theaters of the war. He teared up just a little as he stood to roar out “God Bless America” before Obama spoke.
“It breaks my heart. I love my country," said Sherman, who was among about two dozen of his comrades in arms sitting just below the president, many in wheelchairs, on the west front of the Capitol to see Obama take his oath of office, as they did four years ago.
All around Sherman were Tuskegee Airmen, members of the same African-American who paved the way for blacks in the Army Air Forces. They were warriors who had to battle just to win an equal chance to die for their country. read more>>>
As the President spoke, after taking the Oath of office, a number of messages were sent, with them one to the Neo-Con Hawks and kombat keyboarder constitutional posers:
Americans understand that “enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war.”
Perpetual war doesn't make us stronger, it makes us weaker by showing what we really are, and not think and say we are, as it creates more hatreds pointed back on us, and these two wars will have lasting affects, and costs, on the next couple of generations from the hatreds raised. It does make a few extremely more wealthy, the defense contractors executives and the investors in and now the knowledge of many in our hire in congress and their investing on insider information and the no bid contracts readily passed by them.
In recognizing the Military sacrifices:
Obama Takes Oath of Office Recognizing Military Contributions
WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2013 – President Barack Obama took the ceremonial oath of office for his second term as the 44th U.S. president and commander in chief on the steps of the U.S. Capitol today, honoring the men and women in uniform who have preserved America’s freedoms throughout its history.
More than 5,000 military members – some participating in the Inaugural Parade, others playing musical accompaniment, firing artillery rounds into the sky or providing behind-the-scenes support – were among more than a half million people who gathered on the National Mall to watch Obama and Vice President Joe Biden enter their second term.
Recognizing the drawdown of forces in Afghanistan and the ramping down of more than a decade of conflict, Obama offered high praise during his inaugural address for U.S. service members, their contributions and sacrifices.
“Our brave men and women in uniform, tempered by the flames of battle, are unmatched in skill and courage,” he said. “Our citizens, seared by the memory of those we have lost, know too well the price that is paid for liberty. The knowledge of their sacrifice will keep us forever vigilant against those who would do us harm.”
Obama expressed hope for a more peaceful future, noting that Americans understand that “enduring security and lasting peace do not require perpetual war.” read more>>>
The Country has yet to Sacrifice, especially for these two recent wars and the now long term results of. As those who beat the drums for in abandoning the main missions the military were sent into that region years back, totally ignore, while they keep saying 'the American people want', as they demand the Administration do what they want and attack him for not collapsing to their demands while holding the country hostage and going after groups, many within all the groups having served or are serving, within they're hired to represent!
