My rep, Raul Gijalva (AZ CD-7), an early and enthusiastic Dean backer (I believe it was his endorsement which forced Janet Napolitano to stay on the sidelines and not endorse Kerry - Janet owes her office to Raul), said yesterday of Kerry, "He's going to be our nominee." I hope more Deaniacs can get past this point soon because it gives us a nice early jump on the next great offensive against the GOP: the congressional races.
I really think it's time for folks to start looking at the broader dynamics of the primary (i.e. how the candidates' jockeying became a killer team offense against Bush) for insight into how to take away GOP control of congress.
I think we need to re-analyze the congressional map for competitiveness based on new factors like the increase in dem turnout and Bush's shrinking coattails.
I am not saying people should stop paying attention to the primary, but, clearly the GOP is vulnerable in congress this year. Whadya think?
