Presumably as a patriotic alternative to French vanilla, Dreyers is offering a limited edition "America's Vanilla". This innovative, solidly built flavor is like other vanillas, except that the upstanding folk at Dreyers have taken the liberty (har) of dying it in the colors of our nation's flag. So far, an heart-stirring display of unity against those traitorous frogs. But wait...
Unfortunately, ice-cream-printing technology has progressed only so far, and while stripes are well within the grasp of Dreyers' engineers (think Neopolitan), stars have thus far eluded them, so they've chosen to apply the colors of Old Glory in a series of vertical stripes; red, white, then blue. Here, I suspect treachery, for lo! turn the carton 180 degrees, and suddenly the conformation of the dye resembles not the Stars 'n' Stripes, but the symbol of the very nation Dreyers sought to denigrate: the devious French!
CURSES!!! WE'LL GET YOU YET, PIERRE!!!
