For too long Fox has got away with its bullyboy antics and Kerry just takes it. Why no reply? Why doesn't he throw it back in their faces?
Tell it how it is man. Tell the public these people are lying. Tell them that Fox is the propaganda wing of the Bush administration, and back it up with some good examples. Anything that gives voters a reason to engage their scepticism muscles while they watch can only be a good thing. The facts are not in Fox News' favour, they only really have their perception of fairness to fall back on. If Kerry can knock away some of this support the whole organisation could loose credibility.
Fox is saying now that the Iraqi insurgents are trying to influence the presidential race with their increased attacks, why not point out that the network news stations are trying to influence the results by sugar-coating the situation in Iraq and grossly under-reporting the number of US war dead? FFS I saw a report last night that only gave the number of Iraqi dead, and made no mention of the US dead that day. I wonder how many average voters would be more than a bit surprised by the casualty stats this month?
Kerry should demand a return to the fairness doctrine in network news. Not just for his own sake but for the sake of democracy itself.
