The new Field poll reveals Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's support collapsing, as for the first time he trails two announced rivals in the 2006 election.
Treasurer Phil Angelides (D) - 46% (35%)
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) - 42% (52%)
Controller Steve Westly (D) - 44% (33%)
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R) - 40% (52%)
Arnold still leads two actors who have not entered the race, Rob Reiner (44-42) and Warren Beatty (46-37). Also, in the Democratic primary, 37% support Angelides, 28% support Westly, and 35% are undecided. Westly and Angelides' name ID are only 71% and 63% percent, respectively.

More from the Field poll - the percentage of people saying they would be "inclined" to vote for Arnold in 2006 has plummetted by 17 points since February.
Vote inclination to re-elect Gov. Schwarzenegger to a second term in November 2006
Inclined - 39% (56%)
Not inclined - 57% (42%)
There's really no good news for Arnold here. 83% of Democrats and 61% of independents oppose Arnold. Only 71% of Republicans say they'd vote for him - compare that to the 80%-90% Republican loyalty George W. Bush racks up in polls. Along the same lines, 88% of liberals and 60% of moderates say they're disinclined to support Arnold - along with 30% of conservatives. Only 65% of conservatives support him.
Also, there's an immense gender gap. While both men and women say they'd vote against Arnold, men oppose him by 51-46. Women oppose him by 63-33.
