Yesterday I posted
this comment, calling out as cowards the apologetics for the Bush wiretapping, for surrendering their Fourth Amendment rights out of fear.
Apparently I am not the only person to think this way. Today, there were two LTTEs in the San Francisco Chronicle expressing the same view. Read the letters.
We need to run with this one. It's hard to refute.
Compare and contrast FDR, "All we have to fear is fear itself," and GWB (paraphrasing) "Be afraid. Be very afraid. And stay that way."
