How the Worm has turned. Suddenly, its time on DKos to declare the tinfoil hat folks prescient. It's true: you can't put anything beneath those bastards. Blow up the WTC to lay foundation for a New World Order led by fascist America? It'd be out of character for them not to try.
Of course it wasn't so long ago that all unanswered questions concerning 9/11 were beneath contempt. To even consider them was to flirt with insanity. After all: it's just rude to disrespect the awesome greatness of that day, and the memory of all those American heroes who died doing something or other while bad things happened to them. Of course thereisnospoon's diary didn't actually mention 9/11, but it did say:
It's time to respect the tin-foil--because those brainwaves are turning out to be real every single time.
Who woulda thunk it? Apparently the collapse of a 47-story steel-framed building really is a thing that warrants explanation after all.
And so I shall endeavor to bring you
Daily 9/11, your idiot's guide to Total Conspiracy. All you'll need do is momentarily suspend your socially sanctioned knee-jerk disbelief. NO! It's not extraordinary to suggest that our government was behind a hideous attack on its own people. This is the modus operandi of the Police State. Ask yourself
WWMD - What Would Machiavelli Do? - and expect that.
Forget the illusion that Bushco is following any morality beyond the increase of its own power. Forget 'spreading Democracy' and all other bullshit explanations for Bush's noble aim. These people wouldn't know democracy if they just pre-emptively obliterated it. To engineer reality is in their view the fundamental excercise of governmental power. Propaganda, surveillance, aggression - these aren't incidental fuck-ups along the way but the typical norms of mindfuck fascism.
Think about it: if 9/11 weren't a conspiracy involving Bushco, the cornerstone of their entire mode of government was left up to chance. GOD, apparently, was behind George W Bush and friends. With John Kerry's support, of course. The President ought to have the power to wage war at his own discretion; to turn his intentional conflation of enemies into an intractable clusterfuck that does nothing so much as manifest exactly the situation it was supposed to prevent. If 9/11 weren't a conspiracy of insiders than those insiders might quite understandably imagine themselves justified by God. I mean, how lucky is it to write 'we need another Pearl Harbor' and then have it just manifest out of the blue a few years later?
It's no wonder the Republicans have won the last few elections: the Good Lord is obviously with them.
