I just finished
Crashing the Gate. I borrowed it from the library. I live in a small town with a small libary system and I thought for sure it would come inter-library loan. Imagine my joy when I realized that the Stevens County Rural Library District had purchased a copy! They had, rather than borrowing it from some other library, bought their own copy so that others in this sometimes frighteningly conservative area will have a chance to read this remarkable perspective on the prospects for the Democratic Party.
The way I figure it, the book will wind up on the same "New Books" shelf as the Judge Roy Moore book; now that shelf will have some balance.

Mother to Bean, Wife to Gismeau
Addendum: How cool it was to see Karl-Thomas mentioned in the Acknowledgments; it was great getting to know the lanky college freshman (at that time) and his parents at Dean Meetup in Fredericksburg and to know he is still involved in progressive politics.
