Hi, my fellow Kossacks. I can call you that since I am a member as of today. Well, as of yesterday, since I had a 24-hour probation, but now I am official. This is, in fact, my first post, and sorry, to say, I have to use it to dissent.
I've noticed that in my 48 hours here there have been 72 anti-Joe Lieberman posts
on the front page alone. I don't know why a democratic blog would take such an offensive stance against a great democrat, but before I talk about that, I would like to say something else.
Don't you know we are in an election year? Democrats wants to regain the house and senate and to do that you have to defeat republicans. NOT Joe Lieberman. Defeat him and you get nothing save the satisfaction of acting like a rude mob.
There are, at last count, 6-9 good Senate pickups and 15-30 good house races. Are any of them on the front page 36 times a day? Let me answer that question for myself. No, they are not.
Frankly, that's why you Democrats always lose elections. You're too busy taking out one of your own to remember that you have election opponents. I would like to see you put one tenth the effort into any of the other senate races that you are putting into Lieberman-Lamont.
Except for Webb-Allen that is. Damn it, Jim Webb is not even a real Democrat. He worked for Reagan, for God sake. Please don't talk about that race; it pisses me off.
In fact, here's what would be better: Please clear your posts with me before you post them. Otherwise I am afraid you are wasting time and energy. McJoan, Georgia, DS, Susan and Kos, I don't know who gave you the right to be front pagers, but please do yourselves a favor and clear your future posts with me. Now that I have been here a while, I really feel like I know best what you should write about.
Now, let's talk about Brother Joe. He's a good Democrat. I know that because he said so just the other day. And if that wasn't good enough for you, Chris Dodd said so on Sunday. And Chris Dodd is liberal; I know that because Big Ed told me so. So what more do you want? Apparently you want to be Republicans and purge dissent. And what is all this I hear about Joe being angry? Don't you know that Joe smiles 90 percent of the time. Do you know how I know? Well, he told me so; it is right there on his website ... "Joe Lieberman smiles 90 percent of the time." Isn't that good enough for you? What do you want? Smiling 100 percent of the time? I saw a list here just yesterday that said he smiles more than John Kerry, and I know he is one of your liberal heros.
Sure, I don't agree with Joe on the war in Iraq, or social security or the Supreme Court, but those are just a couple of issues. I mean, come on, we can't disagree on small issues? What is wrong with you people. You must be anti-semetic. Or anti-Catholic. Or against women's rights. That's it isn't it? You hate women. Because I know Joe Lieberman has been a fighter for women's rights. In fact, it says so right on his web-site. And if that isn't good enough for you, Barbara Boxer said so too, and last time I checked, she was a woman and a liberal one at that.
I'll tell you what I think. This Markos is a pinko liberal tree-hugging peacenik John Birch-wannbe with a huge ego. That's what it has to be. Either that or you are still mad about Dean in 2004. Maybe both. Either way, you people are way off base here, and I think it is a waste of time to talk about Lieberman-Lamont anymore. Oh, God, there's another diary on it! Aren't you listening to me? Well, screw you, go lose another election, see if I care. Because spending the next month on a primary purge isn't going to help you when the real election comes about in 4 more months from now. Stupid people.
Anyway, great to be a fellow member with you wonderful people. It is nice to have a place to call home. I look forward to talking politics with you more.
Sincerely, My First Day Here.
PS No I do not work for Joe Lieberman. No I do not work for Karl Rove. No that is not Jeff Gannon in the picture next to me; what are you a homophobe too? That's what's wrong with you Democrats, you don't even believe the things that the Republicans say you believe.
