Just when you thought Sen. Arlen Specter was a total creep, he come out with this:

From Reuters:
Senator Arlen Specter said he would challenge President Bush's practice of issuing "signing statements," through which he claims a right to ignore or not enforce sections of bills that he signs into law. Mr. Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania and chairman of the Judiciary Committee, said he would introduce legislation this week that would give Congress the right to bring a lawsuit against Mr. Bush's signing statements.
I saw this as a brief blurb on an AP wire feed early yesterday evening, but oddly no story was sent about it. Hmm.
