Got back from the Lamont rally a few hours ago, and was not at all disappointed. There was a hearty presence of Connecticut Democrats, a lame counterpresence of Lieberman "supporters," and great speeches all around. I also got to shake the candidate's hand tonight...told him how much I was looking forward to seeing him as "Senator Lamont." He thanked me, then noticed the MoveOn.org t-shirt, smiled, and remarked, "Hey, you're a MoveOn guy! You guys have been great!"
Thought you might be interested in a few pics from the rally...here's hoping I do this right and you can actually SEE something below the fold...
The candidate himself:
A good crowd was gathered (with only a handful of paid Lieberman shills)...
Of course, what campaign event would be complete without...
Finally got to see the main event!
As we spoke, I couldn't help but notice a familiar face in the crowd. For some reason, he tried to duck behind his anti-Ned signs when he noticed me trying to take his picture...
But I finally caught him in a less guarded moment. I could be wrong...no, I'm not. That's our good "friend," paid lobbyist/paid Friend of Joe, Richard Goodstein!
Anyway, that's all I got. My apologies for the length of this (made the pics as small as I could, but even so...)
Enjoy, and keep hammering away, folks. D-Day is upon us. Joe ain't giving up (no matter WHAT he wants us to believe), and neither should we.
