and how much does it cost? Is it your Senator or Representative? If they cheat to elect Bush, does that little ghost in the machine flip votes down ballot also? Santorum is sinking, will they save him? Will they keep the house from turning? How much does it cost a candidate to bribe Diebold? Apparently Diebold is bribing election boards to buy the damn things
(read Raw Story) to the tune of $10,000 Georges.
A member of Ohio's Franklin County election board said ... that prosecutors are investigating whether a GOP political consultant tried to bribe the board's director to buy voting equipment made by his client, Diebold Inc
That's from July 16th 2005.
A President can do enough to help people that own a company like DieBold. (It certainly is not the "Company" that benefits, it's the bastards that own the company.)
Can a US Rep. or a Senator or a state official get help too? I don't think that Diebold's political lobbying at the ballot box (thats flipping votes or vote fraud to you and me) will they benefit from Preidential vote fraud? Does the software work down ballot? I don't think Diebold works commits fraud for entirely altruistic reasons.
How far is it from bribes to buy machines to bribes to fix elections?
Do the banking and insurance industries think enough of Rick Santorum and Cathrine Harris to pay Diebold and ES&S to fix the election, and then reform Social Security out of existence or will they go down because they can't bribe Diebold enough on their own?
Chuck Hagel might have won because he was a friend newsgarden
Max Cleland lost in Georgia due to a over seven point swing the last weekend before the election .
When will the "Hey, what about me?" mentality of soon to lose Rep candidates catch on and demand that Diebold fix them and then everyone up at the same time? Were talkin' Mao and Stalin here.
What evidence or clues do you have about Diebold estorting bribes to fix a given race, or are they just really really ideological Rethugs?
I don't mean this to descend into conspiracy theory, but I really think it's a very thin line from what we do know to what I think is happening, which is who pays most for what, and lobbyists haveing to pay for votes and pay Diebold to guarantee that their monkey stays in office. Maybe a Dem should approach Diebold and offer a sum to have things lean their way AND THEN RAT THEM OUT . Or am I just way to cynical?
