Look I'm glad you posted good news about Jennifer Granholm's lead in the polls in the MI-Gov's race.
But you forgot one thing and I moved fast to make sure it got included early on in the comments so it wasn't missed. The more I think of it, the more surprised I am that it was left to a relative nobody like me to think to add the information.
Make the jump...
You left out probably the most important bit - a hot-link to the donations page of Granholm's campaign web-site. Dammit we should be doing this EVERY FREAKIN' TIME we talk about a candidate here.
Consider it rent on the use of the candidate's name.
We're too close to let up now. Take every opportunity to give people an outlet for their excitement about a candidate or race.
Same goes for our disgust. If we talk about some scum-bag Rethug then we need to provide a hot-link to the Dem's donations page. You can't get people fired up and just leave them HANGING!
Otherwise, it's pointless to even talk about them.
Here's an example...
Last weekend hubby & I took the kids to a local event where we knew our democratic candidates would be putting in an appearance. I signed up to hand out stickers and lit, and walk along with signs to draw attention to our gubernatorial candidate as he worked the crowd - Martin O'Malley (DONATE HERE). My 5 year old daughter handed out stickers, and got to meet Martin O'Malley (DONATE HERE) and shake his hand.
She also got to meet Ben Cardin (DONATE HERE), who's running for Senate on the democratic ticket.
And on our way out, we ran into our Congressional Representative, Chris Van Hollen (DONATE HERE), who's running for re-election. He's a really good guy by the way and deserves all the support you can send him.
They're all good guys. Go to the above links and send them some love folks.
And by the way, if you've got a few bob to spare, go to Jennifer Granholms' donations page and send her some love.

Seriously folks - consider it rent. If we talk about someone running for office, the least we can do as bloggers is to google their name, pull up their website and copy the URL for their online donations page into the text of our message. If you're going to talk about someone - get folks fired up about them then dammit - give them an outlet for that energy you helped to generate. Don't just fire us up and then leave us hangin'.
And Markos - you should know this better than anyone!
