as many of you know, it is not always possible to post comments on youtube videos. basically, the video poster can delete any comments they don't like or even ban them completely. is this fair? what am i a lawyer?!
well, i'm not a lawyer so i don't know the answer but i do know a way around this restriction.
the instructions are below for one method. basically you copy the video to your computer and repost it so that you can control the type of comments that can be made on it. COPYING OF VIDEOS MAY VIOLATE COPYRIGHT LAWS, SO BE SURE YOU ARE NOT BREAKING THE LAW WHEN YOU DO THIS.
there's dozens of ways of doing this. i can suggest this method, as it's pretty easy and fast. the software is free for 7 days and is cheap if you want to buy it. (disclosure: i have no financial relation to this software, i just like using it.)
go here and download the 'flash capture' program:
http://www.dreamingsoft.com/...
close down internet explorer, if it's open. install the software on your computer.
after installing the program, start up internet explorer. then run the 'dreamingsoft flash player' program. it's not required to run the program, as it loads with explorer, but it's useful as it gives you the option for a quick tutorial when you first start up.
go to youtube, go to the video you want to pay homage to. copy it to your hard drive per the program instructions.
go to youtube. head to the 'upload' section at the upper right. follow the instructions. you will have the option of controlling the postings from there.
post corrections or suggestions to the instructions here, thanks.
