I am a big believer in the wisdom of crowds, to steal the title of a book on the subject (definitely worth a read). As a result I think collectively - if people are honest with their predictions in this poll - we'll get closer to the actual result as a group than individually.
This isn't just an exercise in keep-busy. I genuinely want to see how effective it is to poll the DailyKos community for honest predictions a day or two out from an election.
My guess is that we'll skew optimistic - given the inherent bias that we possess collectively. But let's see. Please try to spend a moment clicking on the poll. The more people that do it the more accurate it should be in theory.
So, please fill in the poll. I would beg for recommends to get a wider pool of voters, but I suspect that there'll be a lot of diaries going up over the next couple of days, so not sure how lucky I'll be to stay up long enough to rack up some votes.
UPDATE: a reminder - the poll asks you for your prediction of MAJORITY not total Dem wins... I only say that in case people are voting no. of wins which is skewing us upwards... a 25+ majority is 40+ seats won... that feels a touch high... but again, just put what you believe not what i think...
