I just saw these numbers on "American Morning":
Congressional Vote (Likely Voters)
Democrats: 58%
Republicans: 38%
Bush Approval Rating
Approve: 35%
Disapprove: 61%
While this poll does not guarantee anything, it's hard to imagine Democrats not doing well given our outrageous ballot leads (also
TIME and
Newsweek) going into election day.
There is no link yet, but I thought we could use a shot of adrenaline as we head into the last 36 hours before we take our country back!
[Update]
I found the link.
The percentage of likely voters who plan to vote for Democrats in Tuesday's congressional elections increased in the past week, and those voters supporting Democrats also seem less likely to change their minds before casting ballots, according to a CNN poll conducted over the weekend.
In the so-called "poll of polls," which averages the results of five national surveys, the Democrats have a 53 percent to 41 percent margin over the Republicans.
And what about the Bush factor?
In the same poll, 41 percent of likely voters said they would be sending a message about their disapproval of Bush when they vote Tuesday. Another 42 percent said their opinion of Bush is not a factor in their congressional voting, while 16 percent said they would be sending a vote of support for Bush when they cast ballots Tuesday.
That's a 3 to 1 built-in advantage that will be impossible to overcome. Republicans are going to be swamped tomorrow!
