This is my first diary so please be gentle. In past years I've checked the Webblog Awards mostly to check out sites I had not heard of and may not of otherwise found. I would be pleasantly surprised if a site I visited and liked was listed and got votes. Of course, I would vote just like a did this year.
In past years I seem to recall blog owners being flattered and humble about being nominated and link to the Webblog Awards but that was it. I may be the most competitive person I know, maybe not, but I find the banner on Raw Story, the place I start my every waking day to be desparate. The diary here, comments on the General’s site are not worthy of these sites or maybe it is a goof.
Who cares if the conservatives want to click a button a few hundred, or thousand times? Does it mean they are better, more intelligent, or even more popular? That would be hysterically funny. Maybe they win by landslides because we are busy doing life stuff.
It would be representative of what they do during elections. Imagine one vote per person, which blogs would win?
This is not important, but I go to these sites sometimes more than once per day and am discomfited when I see these comments. These solicitations seem to glare out at me. I will check back with the Weblog Awards sometime and go to the sites I’m not familiar with and if DailyKos, Raw Story, Crooks and Liars, Jesus General (who should have his own category), etc. should be at the bottom that’s ok. Maybe there are others like me who will stop by because they were not familiar with these sites.
I started this at work and decided I was not going to bother but now I get home and see that both here and at Raw Story there's more ?????
Another diary here and accusation of cheating at Raw Story? So here's mine.
