Whereas President George W Bush has publicly sworn to dismiss from office any persons in his administration involved in disclosing the identity of CIA covert operative Valerie Plame;
Whereas the recent trial and conviction of Scooter Libby, the Vice President’s former chief of staff, has revealed both documentary evidence and sworn testimony of such involvement by numerous persons;
Whereas Valerie Plame’s identification has been detrimental to the security of the United States, to the lives of her known associates from whom she collected intelligence, to the pursuit of intelligence in her specialty of Weapons of Mass Destruction and to the confidence of the CIA in the administration’s ability to put the national interest ahead of short term political expedience;
We the undersigned request and require the President to honour his pledge and dismiss among others
