It’s important to learn our history, so we can understand today and tomorrow. After all, if we are to avoid the cycle of history repeating itself, we must know our past.
Today, I've decided to concentrate on the influences of fascism. Interestingly, it seems that elements of fascism are attracted to March 23rd, so let us hope that history does not repeat itself. However, among the sea of fascism there is a hint of liberty. It is a hint of hope and emulation.

March 23rd, fascist days of infamy:
1919 Benito Mussolini founded his Fascist political movement in Milan, Italy.
1933 The German Reichstag adopted the Enabling Act, which effectively granted Adolf Hitler dictatorial legislative powers.
1942 During World War II, the U.S. government began moving Japanese-Americans from their West Coast homes to detention centers.

We see that elements of fascism is still alive and well today. We must be ever vigilant against these forces that try to take away our liberties. Fortunately we have hope and inspiration.

As Patrick Henry said, let us fight for our liberties and be ever vigilant against elements of oppression. By understanding our past, we will be better able to fight against fascism and preserve our liberties.
