I Got the News Today (4/13/2007 Edition). Yesterday, the Department of Defense announced the name of one soldier killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom. According to the Iraq Coalition Casualty Count the number of names released by the DoD is now 3288 and there are eight more names of the deceased awaiting notification of the next of kin before being publicly released.

DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Pfc. Kyle G. Bohrnsen, 22, of Philipsburg, Mont., died April 10 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds sustained when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colo.

Bohrnsen is survived by his parents, Geoffrey and Elizabeth Bohrnsen, of Philipsburg; a sister, Danielle Bohrnsen, of Philipsburg; paternal grandparents Norman and Coreene Bohrnsen, of Philipsburg; and maternal grandparents, Jim and Peggy Fleming, of Rio Rancho, N.M.
The family asks that contributions be made to the Kyle -Bohrnsen Scholarship Fund c/o Flint Creek Valley Bank, P.O. Box 10, Philipsburg, MT 59858.
