In one of if not the most Republican county in New Jersey, Democrat Jeff Grayzel won a special election for township committee. This was the first time since watergate that a Democrat has won in Morris township. This bodes well for the Demcrats in November.
Grayzel won 2361 to 1867 -- a 56%-44% margin a huge victory in every sense of the word. This was a special election do over as last november was ruled a tie (after two recounts).
The last the democrats won a special election, the following november they went on to win the assembly seat.
A big hand should be given to the Morris County DFA/PDA and their leader Chip Robinson for working really hard for Grayzel. They made phone calls and canvassed for Grayzel, working hard and long and it paid off big time.
