Well, he might as well be.
As I write this there are a couple of diaries on the rec list about the great BillO' feud. (There's also one that I think is at least the third I've seen today on the Prescott Bush "Business Plot" to overthrow the government, but that's another story). There are a couple more BillO' specials bubbling up on the recent list.
Meanwhile, a diary of glowing hope for the future of this country has dropped off the bottom of the heap.
In the diary Letter To a Former Hippie from a 20-Something we have an active, concerned, involved, informed young voter. Sharing his/her frustrations with the life challenges created by this administration. Sharing his/her interest and intent in making a difference, somehow. Here is a well crafted, thoughtful and articulate answer to Mom's rant:
These are my insane ramblings to my 55 year old former hippie mother. I was attacked... ATTACKED I SAY... today when she accused my generation of never contributing and playing such an apathetic role in the political process.
"You guys are the problem! Why aren't you marching in the streets?! Why aren't you yelling at the top of your lungs? Why do you prefer video games to the news? How many hours a day do you spend on your computer and what good does it do you?"
... at the moment words choked up in my mouth. Is this really what she thought of me and my friends? Had she lost faith in all of us to do the right thing?
And the fun of snarking old BillO' has driven this gem off the visible diary list. Is that what we we are about? I think not. We despeartely need people like this diarist. The future of our country depends on them, and some of us are of the generation that will be long gone while they are still trying to rebuild what this administration has taken away.
Read this diary NOW - and I think you will want to give it a rec.
