First let me offer my standard disclaimer and my solemn vow as a Democrat in good standing. Before I speak about John Edwards (my candidate) please let me say that I like all of our candidates, and will support our Democratic nominee. It'll pain me to do so, if Edwards isn't the nominee, but I will support our nominee.
Now for my latest rant. Unfair and unbalanced Rupert Murdoch is expanding his right wing empire. He's just purchased the Wall Street Journal and the Dow Jones. We all know Fox news is nothing more than a political arm of the republican machine. So I want to know why Hillary Clinton would take money from a right wing lunatic like this guy. Can anyone please explain that?

Today Senator Edwards is once again showing strong leadership. Senator Edwards is challenging all Democratic contenders for the presidential nomination to refuse to take any funds (or in Clinton's case, any more funds) from Rupert Murdoch. Here's the email I received from his campaign this morning. All of his supporters received this email, but I would like to share it here for anyone who hasn't seen it.
Senator Edwards does not call Clinton out specifically. I do that. I'm sorry if this pains any Clinton supporters but I honestly want to know why she would have done that.
Dear Miguel,
Breaking news—Rupert Murdoch and Fox News are at it again.
I emailed you five months ago to announce that John Edwards was the first Democrat to pull out of the Fox-sponsored debates—to show that Fox's "right-wing talking points and temper tantrums won't go unchallenged anymore."
The other Democratic candidates followed John's example and pulled out, too. Now, it's time for us to stand up and challenge Fox again.
Fox News and its parent company, News Corp—who have consistently launched right-wing attacks against Senator Obama, Senator Clinton, Vice President Gore, and many other Democrats including John—are expanding their right-wing media empire by buying the Dow Jones Company and The Wall Street Journal.
Yet while Murdoch expands his empire and his influence, some Democrats continue to take money from him and other top executives at Fox News and News Corp.
This has got to stop. It is time for Democrats to stop pretending to be friends with the very people who demonize the Democratic Party and call it "news."
That's why today, John Edwards is challenging every Democratic presidential candidate to refuse contributions from News Corp executives, and return any they've already taken—beginning with contributions from Rupert Murdoch.
And that's why today, I'm asking you to stand with John Edwards and help send a message that Democrats are united against Fox News expanding its influence over our politics.

We're glad that many candidates are following John's lead by not taking money from political action committees and federal lobbyists in this election cycle. Those PACs and lobbyists skew the system against hard-working people to advance their political agenda.
But why are some candidates still taking money from top executives at Fox News—who skew the news viewed by millions of hard-working people to advance their right-wing agenda?
John Edwards will never ask Rupert Murdoch for money—he won't accept his money, and he won't accept money from other top executives at Fox News or News Corp. He never has, and he never will.
Today, we challenge every other candidate in this race to be able to say the same.
I hope they accept our challenge. And I hope you support our call to action by donating whatever you can afford today.

By standing together, we can change this country.
Sincerely,

John Edwards is not taking money from PACS or the Right Wing machine. Let's hear it for Senator Edwards!
