Anyone have a clue as to what is up with the Clark Campaign strategy-wise? I can see Clark knocking Edwards out in TN and VA, just about as well as I can see another Oklahoma-like situation that I heard one person refer to as a pyrric (sp?) victory. I wouldn't say pyrric myself, one of the two has to knock the other out...
Perhaps the admission by the Pakistanis about selling Nuke Tech helps Clark's cause. And surely Edwards' supporters will finally see he's just a big stiff - that stump speech works once; if he doesn't get a new one, it's realiazation time. Clark is competitive in Virginia, but he is turtling up in TN... Kind of bizarre. I'd like to see a bit more reach to the campaign, but what do I know?
Is Lehane running the show? I'll just sit down and shut up if so - all props to Lehane for taking Oklahoma. By all rights Clark should have went down to Edwards, who spent more time in the State than anyone and who closed like a madman.
That has to be the nadir though... Is Edwards matching Clark with $$$? Clark's at a nice post-Oklahoma $100,000.00/day clip - surely it'll taper off but it does show some fight left in the machine.
It's interesting that Edwards and Clark are staying at the same Hotel tonight. Hmmmm.....
.
All props to Clark and his family though, regardless. It's a cold cold road that he's traveling, but there IS daylight and I'm glad that he is sticking it out.
