I don't listen to much talk radio. My area, San Diego CA, lost our Air America station several months ago. We received all the normal cast of characters, but in the morning we had on Stay Taylor. Stacy sat in for Randi Rhodes on occassion during our Afternoon show that aired Nationally, so you might have actually heard him on occasion without even knowing it. Well he showed up on another local station, so occassionally I get the chance to listen during afternoon commutes. The problem is, that the rest of the staion is all "hate talk" radio. Michael Raegan, and a few other local slimeballs.
This morning I hopped in my car to leave for work, and the radio was tuned to this station and the local morning guy was chattering away. This is where I heard John Edwards was dropping out from the Presidential race. The local "Hate Talk Radio Host", Mark Larson, was talking to someone who was promoting his movie, titled "Hillary". The punchline was, the movie that she did not want you to see.
These two people were talking about how hypocritical John Edwards was for taking up the fight on poverty, and this while the whole time taking money from organizations to give these so called speeches. They were laughing and joking and demeanizing John Edwards for ripping off the poor people. It was truly sickening.
Tomorrow I plan on calling this slimeball, and I urge other San Diego residents to do the same. Hopefully, his little radio show could be overwhelmened with callers setting the record straight. I'm not talking about calling and disrupting his show, I'm talking about calling with facts and setting the record straight. I'm talking about making him admit that he is either misinformed, or a liar.
His show is on San Diego 1700AM. His name again is Mark Larson.
The phone number to call in is 866-405-1717.
If anybody has any facts regarding debunking these allegations, that John Edwards profited from talking about poverty, please include them in the comments for me to use. I am thinking that these same stories have appeared in other places, and that somebody may have already done some of the legwork on this.
