Chelsea Clinton, as reported in today's NY Times, http://www.nytimes.com/...
gave a February 8th political speech to Bowdoin College students. I believe she is open to serious criticism because of her comments, and because she is a player in a serious contest. As the Times states, she "could make a difference."
What got me most annoyed in the report was Ms. Clinton's(Chelsea's) response to a question about Mrs. Clinton (Hillary) as to why Hillary showed no remorse for voting to support the war.
Responded Chelsea:
"She cast a vote based on the best available evidence. Perhaps you had clairvoyance then, and that’s extraordinary."

What a cheap, political put-down. If she thought up this answer herself, she's ignorant; if she took this soundbite from her mom's operatives she answers the question of this Diary.
I diaried yesterday http://www.dailykos.com/... about the "extraordinary clairvoyance" of the marching hundreds of thousands of Hillary's constituents, saddened by the five years of getting a figurative spit in the face from our Senator. We read the documents that Hillary didn't read, we knew who the UN inspectors were, we saw printouts of the CDs that described Iraq armaments, we knew who Shinseki was, and Zini. And we knew what Powell had become, what Rumsfeld was, what Cheney, Perle and Wolfowitz represented.
Hillary didn't, and told her kid, and her kid believed her.
Chelsea is on leave from a hedge-fund. A fucking hedge-fund. (I know more about hedge-funds than you do, dear critic, so don't start.) Not a community organizer, not a teacher, not anything un-Mitt-kids about her. As an aside, don't you think that her presence as a full-time worker in a social service agency, or a museum, or a school, would bring great publicity to the cause? A fucking hedge-fund.
The war is the albatross of the campaign, and if Chelsea Clinton wants to wear that bird, so be it. I will be respectful to the person (thus, no poll). But her mother was wrong from the start on this war, and if the daughter defends that political expedience, the daughter should be able to withstand the public discourse.
Disclosure: I will strongly support the Democratic nominee for the presidency.
