Several people can do it. Any one of the 26 Edwards pledged delegates could do it. Or possibly one of the 55 unpledged delegates. These 81 delegates are our best hope.
There are 720 Super Delegates. Unfortunately, this group consists largely of establishment lick-spittles. They are unlikely to do anything symbolic even if it could help the Democrat candidate.
Yes, Ralph has jumped into the race. Don’t be mean. Ralph has many great things for this country.
Democrats need to honor Nader’s contributions in a way that does not hurt the nominee’s chance in the November election. Dumping on Nader is not the way to get my vote.
Quit blaming Nader for 2000. What about the Supreme court? What about Republican owned voting machines? What about Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris? Get off Nader’s ass! Direct your anger to people who have destroyed the values on which this country was founded. Nader has done more good than 99.9% of people in this country.
Honor him. Give Nader a symbolic vote or two at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. Give him a standing ovation. Acknowledge his contributions to auto and consumer safety. Give the man his well deserved moment.
Then nominate Barack Obama.
