Ok, uncle. I can't hardly read another blog, fret over another poll, or gasp at another comment on this election until the democratic nominee is settled on. I feel like Mr. Creosote - "I can't eat another bite!" I'm writing this today. Tomorrow I am going to the Texas caucus and then I'm going cold turkey until the conventions. It's so depressing sometimes to read the pitched battles of the campaigns to define the message that gets out (the spin wars). It can be even more depressing to read the comments of the completely misinformed or the just plain bitter. Its not so bad here but on some of the more general blogs, it gets so bad I start to lose my faith in humanity.
I'm tired and I'm burned out. Maybe its just because I live in Texas and the focus has been here for what feels like forever now. Am I the only one to feel this way? I'm an Obama supporter but a democrat first and if the choice was another couple months of bloody infighting or make Clinton the nominee, I would choose the latter. The bitter attacks between them feel like the right arm trying to cut the left arm... and succeeding. I am hoping that Obama can end this with a couple of victories tomorrow but, in any case, may the political Gods grant us a conclusion before we kill ourselves. Amen
