Look at the Supreme Court. Due to the inevitability of age, 4 liberal-moderate Justices will be gone in the next 4 years. If you had the choice of having the new Justices appointed by McCain or Clinton, and if nothing else separated the two on policy, or any other matter, looking at their records and loyalties, which one would you want to make the selections?
UPDATE:
How come no poster has even tried to address my question? Instead, we get the same bleeting you would expect from sheep.
ANSWER THE QUESTION!
Obama, who to some is the new Christ in that he is seen as the Messiah for all that is pure in politics and government, has created here on DK, a group of worshippers who, upon examination are revealed to be just self-important, short-sighted,drama queens/kings . They are Obamists.
The Obamists proselytize in their messages. Look how they wail, whine, lament, search their souls and tell us how much regret they have in their decision to decline to vote if Clinton is the nominee. They know that their deep feelings of sincerity will touch the hearts of those who know little about the real world of government, and the consequences of substituting Utopian longings for practical analysis. Thus the Obamists are able to persuade a flock of similarly naive and in some instances, silly sheep to not vote for Clinton, and to try to convince others to do the same. These sheep, who search the diaries here for clues about what they should espouse (because they lack the real world experience to create their own political philosophy) jump on the bandwagon with gusto.
The Obamists are the new cows, hens, sheep and horses from Orwell's Animal Farm.
4 legs good, 2 legs bad.
Live in a barn, not in a house.
If McCain is elected, they will regret following the lead of the Obamists who made them think they would be pure if the protested a Clinton nomination.
My own preference is for Clinton to stop her divisive tactics, and often wish I could tell her spokesman to SFU. I wish that Obama had put her away last Tuesday so we could unite to defeat McCain. But Obama failed to put her away. We now may end up with Clinton. Even though I despise the weakness, stridency and disrespect for the voters that is the emblem of the Clinton campaign; and although I cringe when I hear her say things designed to sway the sheep to drink her brand of Kool Aid (sorry for the mixed metaphor); and despite the fact that I detest her slick efforts to influence the national debate on issues which are irrelevant, if she is the nominee, I will support her and vote for her.
