Well, I'm sure everyone is aware of the Clinton bloggers going "on strike." People want to boycott blogs, "convert" them, etc. An article on Sadly No captured my thoughts exactly as I noticed a few weeks ago the dialogue at sites like Talk Left were fervently anti-Obama. So, what's up with that?
Open Left recently posted on this topic as well. Is there some sort of bias on this site?
For one, I don't necessarily agree with the key word approach that the data used as many of the arguments on this site need to be understood within an appropriate context. Not every diary or front page post can be summarized using a key word. Those tactics might be SOP for RedState but progressives use links and sources to support their arguments.
Anyway, Kos himself stated this site isn't exactly friendly to the DLC types or their candidates. He also mentioned:
But on everything else, Clinton fails the test of the guiding principles of this site, and of my first book, Crashing the Gate.
Clinton isn't just a member of the DLC, she's in their leadership.
Wouldn't it follow that members of the site might be a bit hostile towards the Clinton team? In any event, it's time to take a look in the mirror folks. Are we a melting pot of progressivism or a vacuum of Obamabots? Rec this diary, take the poll and let's settle this once and for all.
Disclosure: I originally supported John Edwards as the Democratic candidate.
