You have to remember something, as much as we all love Obama, they love Clinton. They worked for her, donated money, and lived and died with the election results, just like we have.
There's just one difference.
While we're experiencing the joy that comes from watching a long shot dream somehow come true, they're going through the incredible pain of watching theirs collapse after believing it was going to happen. Ask any sports fan; the most painful losses are those where you knew that you were going to win and then - somehow - you didn't.
They've been going through a lot since Super Tuesday, but I think the latest batch of polls from NC is making things obvious. Look at the front page of MyDD.com right now. The top four posts on the front page are people coming to terms with the obvious and starting to navigate towards the general.
We need to help here. We're not going to win in November without those people. What I'm asking of the Obama supporters is to not gloat. Think about how you'd be feeling now if the Wright thing had spiraled out of control, Obama was sinking in the polls, and SDs were suddenly navigating towards Clinton. Then imagine if a slew of Clinton fans came here and started taunting.
We need to give them a path back towards unity. Now is the time to be considerate. I ask of people to do that.
