What do you guys think? I've been mulling this ticket over for sometime now. I think it would work tremendously.
Huckabee and Obama, though they have somewhat diametric philosophies, largely look at the whole picture instead of focusing too much on our differences. Mike Huckabee is an anomaly among conservatives -- he's an economic populist. His message of looking out for the average guy on mainstreet is very similar to Barack's message of empowerment - returning power to the people instead of the special interests.
Some on our side would see Huckabee as a radical, but I see the man to be honest and very personable. We need a president who inspires a whole nation. Huckabee despite all his 'flaws' has a very compelling and complementary message to Obama's.
An Obama/Huckabee ticket would win over many moderates and even quite a sizable chunk of evangelicals. Many states in the south like Georgia and North Carolina could possibly flip.
