This is short, perhaps not diary worthy, but something important to consider as these last few primary contests are concluded.
I had a brief conversation with a woman who commutes from D.C. every weekend to volunteer for Obama in Philadelphia. She's reasonably well connected and happens to know Patti Solis Doyle, who left the Clinton campaign a few months back due to a string of losses. At a recent dinner event in D.C., this woman spoke with Patti and her husband, Jim, about her experience canvassing in West Philadelphia for the Obama campaign, thinking it would make for some light-hearted discussion. It turns out that Patti has had a change of heart. Patti, at least privately, is telling people that she'll be voting for Obama because Hillary "is not the same person she was at the beginning of her campaign."
If Solis Doyle is no longer a 100% supporter of Hillary, I'm thinking that there may be a lot more to the recent NYT story about a fallout within donor circles and perhaps even within the people closest to the Clintons. She may really be burning a lot of bridges that would otherwise be necessary for the GE.
Anyway, I'm quite confident that the elderly woman who told me this was not pulling my leg. Thought it was interesting enough to warrant a diary, but I apologize that there isn't more information behind it.
